Another Note, a Quote and an Equation

****************************************************

There was a desert wind blowing that night. It was one of those hot dry Santa Anas that come down through the mountain passes and curl your hair and make your nerves jump and your skin itch. On nights like that every booze party ends in a fight. Meek little wives feel the edge of the carving knife and study their husbands' necks. Anything can happen. You can even get a full glass of beer at a cocktail lounge.

-- "Red Wind" by Raymond Chandler

When t equals the time change and s equals metaphorical Santa Ana winds and a equals underlying sleep apnea. Solve for the following:

t + s + 1/3a

And the answer is?

t + s = 1/3a =

Groovy picture! Is it a Star Trek critter? I don't remember this one but it would have fit that wonderful 60s monster thing they had going on.

I love what you've done with your hair. It's so not fair that you get to be the pretty twin! ;)

Hey, I have been absent for about a week and missed bread too.

Terri, yes this is from an early episode of Star Trek called The Man Trap. Hmmm... Anyway, she sucked all the sodium out men and killed them.

T, So wait a minute. If I'm the pretty one, are you the smart one?

I'm amazed at how this lovely creature strikes such a responsive chord in so many.

It so pays to get caught up on your blog!

Thank you so much!

I am fine when I wake up in the morning. My wife on the other hand is a monster. Just a really good looking one. It's just she isn't a very nice person first thing.. well at lest until she has had the first cup of coffee.

Works faster if you just toss her the beans to eat. :)

Oh.. the spousal unit part is Marillaanne.

The love the craziness brought on by the Santa Ana Winds. For my part, they just make me sneeze. Great quote!
