A quote which gives me comfort is the following from Lord of the Rings:

‘I wish it need not have happened in my time,’ said Frodo.

‘So do I,’ said Gandalf, ‘and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.’



I had just posted my Sleeping with Bread post yesterday when I saw the news headline about the shootings at Virginia Tech. I am sure I am experiencing a lot of the same emotions as others.

I was thinking that now might be a good time to do a group version of Sleeping with Bread. I thought that anyone who wanted to, could leave their response in the comments of this post (or post on their own blog). So, if you would like, you can answer the following questions.
