Being Mary-LUE

If you found a secret tunnel which would take you inside of my brain, here are just a few of the thoughts and feelings you be privy to in the last day or so. . .

. . . Teenagers! Argh! (mild irritation at daily dealings with)

. . . Gilbert! Anne! Sigh! (heart feeling all squishy at coming across the last 10 minutes of Anne of Avonlea with Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie)

. . . If I buy the clothes, wash the clothes, fold the clothes, I do not want to put them up! (on folding clothes that are beyond wrinkled and taking up space on the couch. . . Irritation really directed at myself. If I would fold them right away, I wouldn't have 14 stacks of clean clothes to topple over, again and again.)

. . . $144 dollars for a parking pass???? For parking??? (brief annoyance followed by. . .) Omigosh! I have a parking permit! For college! I'm a student again! (with much excitement and only a little nervousness at the prospect)

. . . Wait a minute! What happened to Rose? Where's Rose gone? (befuddlement at preview of tonight's new Doctor Who on the SciFi channel. Frustration that I've not been watching the show consistently to know what is going on)

. . . ???? :/ Sigh! (on stepping on the scale. . . renewed determination to get to the gym)

. . . What am I doing? What kind of punctuation is this exactly? Go fix it! No! I don't want to be bothered. Just hit publish. Now! (on noticing erratic use of capitalization and punctuation in this post)

You can't hear it, but I've been squealing with delight and anticipation of tonight's Dr. Who! I will miss Rose but can't wait to see who the new assistant is.

I rented Anne of Green Gables (the one with Megan Follows) not long ago. Sigh. You really should read the book as well. Someday. When you're not going to school :o)

Oh My Stars! For the high school meme post the original title played on the Being John Malkovich. But Being Julie just...doesn't work. But great minds and all that! Okay now going to actually read.

Woo hoo parking pass...you're a student! I like being in your head, although you use much nicer language than I do. ;)

Goodness! You missed the last episode of last season's Dr? Eek. Well, basically, she is stranded in the alternate dimension which is now permanently sealed (or some such), but at least she is with her family. But....well...the Dr. was just about to tell her he loved her and they lost their connection. Dangit, Mary, why didn't you watch the marathon before the season started??????

I love this post, BTW

-t (who really should be asleep, but laryngitis and its resultant lack of communication have given a surplus of words that must be expended before sleeping)

Right now in my mind you'd hear "SHUT THE F**K UP" - yes, I would be shouting it - the dog next door is barking aimlessly at nothing and has been for oh, about 10 hours.. :(

Can we expect that 'normal service' will be resuming anytime soon!
Don't we just all have days like that.
Cheers

I do the same thing with laundry. I leave it on the couch forever before I put it away. It seems like there's always a pile there. Grrr.

Hey, and congrats on starting school. Exciting!

I love this post!! I do the same thing with laundry. And I've been thinking about changing my routines with it, but, I guess I won't:) The thoughts in other people's heads are always so much more interesting than our own...hope you had a good weekend!

Congrats from me too on being a college student again.

P.S. I read your comment to Liam (the one you made on his birthday post) and he was so excited and proud to hear that he had a fan all the way in CA!

Gilbert! Anne! The beauty of that series... I need to add that to my netflix queue again.

Oh my, can I ever relate to your thoughts about the laundry pile. Mine is growing and growing, folded on the couch, subject to tumbling down with any little quaking the children might cause.

I can't watch Dr. Who. It gives me nightmares. I'm very timid that way. But I did like Rose in the few episodes I managed to view while hiding behind an afghan.

Is that $144 for the semester? Or the month? Regardless: ouch. But better that than a bus pass.

Anne of Green Gables ... one of my favorite s as well. In fact, just last week the entire series was shown on PBS again.

Awesome on being a student again. I'll have to look back in the archives to find out what you are studying. :)

Peace,

I loved that movie.. Being John Malkovich... and what a great anology in this blog...

Megan Follows lives in my city and the poor gal will never live down being Anne...She has tried so many other characterss and everyone seems so disappointed that she is not married to Gilbert in real life...and in some plays she swears... Anne would never do that.. Fiddledee dee...

Congrats on being a college student...I have butterflies of anticipation for you...

and nothing I can do about the laundry... as i have the same problem/habit I fear...

You are funny :) Congrats on the parking pass, kind of an officialisation of being a student.

I'm glad you've started school. So exciting!

I think my pet peeve about the parking pass when I was in school was the fact that it didn't guarantee a parking place -- even when you lived there -- which could make life rather difficult.

Congrats on being a student again!

Ha ha, great idea for a post!

I remember one time I took an intro to sewing course at the community college and when I got my student ID, I was positively giddy. Cheaper movie tickets are coming your way...
