I am behind...have not read the book that preceded it yet. Actually, have sort of lost track. But I guess I better get on it b/c I know it will be spoiled somehow. I don't want that.
Ugh. I want to read it. Really badly. But I cannot because it will totally seep into my writing and change the tone. So I can't read it till I'm done drafting the book. Don't tell me. Don't you dare tell me, anyone!!!
Julie and Emily, you are going to have to be careful and/or work fast if you want to avoid spoilers.
There are already hints popping up in blog posts and comments. Watch out!
If I could type in green, I would.
Lucky, lucky you.
Cheers
I just got my copy today. Little Town's grocery store had 12 copies coming in, but the manger forgot to put them on the shelf. THEY FORGOT! But I couldn't hold off my curiousity and read the spoilers on line. Glad to hear you scheduled in a shower. Priorities.
Wow - If I could only get through my text books that fast!
Tara
Ooo you wastrel you! I'm beginning to think that my 'couple of pages a day if it's a good day' may not be such a bad idea afterall!
You're 'done' and I have days, and days, and days of pleasure ahead of me.
I bet you're the type that eats a whole bar of chocolate at once too! There again, I get lots of complaints about half / quarter eaten furry chocolate being found at the back of the cupboard!
Cheers
You are soooo right! I eat the whole bar of chocolate, the whole pan of brownies, whatever! ;)
I could give you my "good" reasons for gorging myself on the book (husband going out of town who wanted to take the book with him, a busy week ahead and I was not wanting to read too late at night, blah, blah, blah) but really, I'm a book binger, that's all there is to it!
Cheers back at ya!
Hi Mary!
just wanted to let you know I didn't die on you.
I finished too (last night). Normally, I am a "read it in one sitting" type as well, but we are doing renovatioons. Alas! It took me three sittings instead.
I always like to read it through fast the first time to get the suspense out of the way (and I avoided any blogs until I was finished - just in case), then I let the kids read it. After everyone is finished, I will go back and read it more slowly.
I'll try to actually blog sometime soon. Right now, however, I am off to paint....
-t (who is very glad to finally be at the painting stage of this project)
I'm guessing you loved it??
I did like it, alot!
I have not read it (nor HP5 or 6) so I'm avoiding all related posts.
Just popped in to tell you that my sigOth Nate came across your blog thinking it was a Douglas Adams blog. He's like, "hey, do you know this blog with Mary-LUE or something?"
So there ya go!
i finished it about 2 am on sunday.
i didn't realize it until the next day but i didn't eat dinner on sunday. all i ate was, i think, a wendy's baked potato and some chips about 11pm. i sat in my bedroom (dh had friends over) and read. getting up only for bathroom breaks and to get something to drink.
i loved it too.
This post had me frightened! I have not finished it and I just KNOW I am going to come across a spoiler and I will be SO MAD!
I love me some Harry Potter! :)
I'm STILL ot done yet! Argh! But I'm close...I hope to polish it off tonight.
I know, and I am torn. But, I have decided that this project is more important to me. We have a vacation in a few weeks, and I think I'll read it then. Hopefully, my threat to remove the larynx of anyone who dares reveal important plot points will hold it off till then.
Well something is seriously wrong with the timing here, because that post was on Sunday, and you'd finished........now it is Thursday......what on earth [and I use the term advisedly as I see your space scene in the background] have you been doing!
Cheers
yay you : )
